 The Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters are the foundation of Dominican University—literally and figuratively. Alumnae/i remember the sisters for their quick wit, their impeccable academic credentials and their commitment to justice.
It seems providential, therefore, as Dominican builds a new academic building, that we dedicate the foundation of Parmer Hall to our founders. And what better way to remember the contributions of the sisters than to recognize permanently the name of every Sinsinawa Dominican Sister who has taught or worked at Dominican since the founding of the institution in 1901. Every sister. Every name. To be called Founders Court this courtyard will exemplify the enduring legacy of the sisters and Dominican University itself.
